Holistic Assessment

Herbal treatment is planned with the full picture in view

When phytotherapy is planned for cancer patients, the patient's medications, current treatments, organ function and overall health are all taken into account.

01

Diagnosis, stage and tests

The type and stage of the cancer, pathology results and imaging findings such as PET/CT and MRI are the starting point of the assessment.

02

Drug interactions

Some herbal products can interact with chemotherapy drugs, targeted therapies, blood thinners and other prescription medicines.

03

Organ function and blood values

Which herbal ingredients are suitable during chemotherapy is decided individually, based on liver and kidney function, blood values and the treatment being used.

04

Nutrition and lifestyle

Herbal support is planned individually, together with nutrition and lifestyle guidance, according to the patient's overall health.

Molecular Therapy

A personalised molecular approach

Cancer is not a single, uniform disease. Even tumours arising from the same organ can differ in their biological and molecular characteristics.

01

Personalised assessment

In the molecular therapy approach, the patient's current diagnosis, pathology results, PET/CT and other imaging, blood values and previous treatments are assessed together.

02

Molecular and genetic tests

Treatment planning considers not only the organ where the cancer is located, but also the stage of the disease, the sites of metastasis, the biological characteristics of the tumour and the patient's overall health. Where necessary, molecular and genetic tests can also be included in the assessment.

03

Molecular Therapy (IV)

In the molecular therapy approach, laboratory data and cellular needs are assessed to plan personalised support protocols.

04

Molecular Pharmacy

Supportive products can be personalised under the physician's supervision, according to the patient's laboratory values and current treatments.

Molecular therapy and other holistic approaches do not replace standard oncological treatment; they are planned as support for suitable patients.

Frequently Asked Questions

Questions about phytotherapy and molecular therapy

01Can a stage 4 cancer patient recover?

Stage 4 cancer means the disease has spread beyond where it started to distant organs or tissues. However, a stage 4 diagnosis alone does not determine how the disease will progress or which treatment will be applied. The type of cancer, the sites of metastases, the biological characteristics of the tumour, the patient's general condition and previous treatments are assessed together.

02What is phytotherapy?

Phytotherapy is a field covering the use of plants and plant-derived preparations for specific purposes. When phytotherapy is planned for cancer patients, the patient's medications, current treatments, organ function and overall health are given particular attention.

Ask this question on WhatsApp
03What is molecular therapy and how is it planned?

Molecular therapy is a treatment approach planned individually by assessing the patient's diagnosis, current treatments, laboratory results and overall health together. The protocol to be applied is determined for each patient after a physician's assessment.

Ask this question on WhatsApp
04Can phytotherapy be used alongside chemotherapy?

There is no single answer that applies to all patients. The decision is made individually, based on the chemotherapy agent used, the patient's blood values, liver and kidney function, and the herbal ingredients to be used.

Ask this question on WhatsApp
05Does herbal treatment reduce the effect of chemotherapy and radiotherapy?

Some herbal products can interact with chemotherapy drugs, targeted therapies, blood thinners and other prescription medicines. For this reason, which herbal ingredients are suitable is decided individually by the physician, based on the treatment being used, blood values, and liver and kidney function.

Ask this question on WhatsApp
06Is phytotherapy a definitive cure for cancer?

No. These treatments do not replace standard medical treatment; following a physician's assessment, they are applied to support and complement the existing treatment plan. Treatments planned by medical oncology are always taken into account.

Ask this question on WhatsApp
07How can phytotherapy support the cancer treatment process?

During cancer treatment, the complementary medicine (GETAT) approach may offer protocols aimed at cellular support, immune system management and improving quality of life, in addition to standard medical treatment. The plan is determined through a separate assessment for each patient.

Ask this question on WhatsApp
08Are treatments planned individually?

Yes. Every patient's diagnosis, disease stage, test results, treatment history and overall health are different. For this reason, the approach is determined through a personalised assessment rather than a standard protocol.

Ask this question on WhatsApp
09Are herbal products safe because they are natural?

No. Being “natural” does not automatically make a product safe. Some herbal products can interact with chemotherapy drugs, targeted therapies, blood thinners and other prescription medicines.

Ask this question on WhatsApp
10Does herbal treatment have side effects?

As with any medical treatment, there may be risks depending on the individual's health. After a suitability assessment, possible effects and precautions are shared with the patient.

Ask this question on WhatsApp
11Are the treatments approved by the Ministry of Health?

All treatments are carried out in line with protocols approved by the Turkish Ministry of Health. Dr. Necmettin Karabulut took part in training programmes approved by the Ministry of Health and received advanced training in phytotherapy at Bezmialem Vakıf University Faculty of Medicine.

Ask this question on WhatsApp
12How long does a treatment session take?

Session length varies depending on the type of treatment and the personalised protocol. Duration and the session plan are shared in detail after the first assessment.

Ask this question on WhatsApp
13Which documents are needed for the first assessment?

The first assessment reviews recent test results, blood tests and reports on the current diagnosis and treatments. Additional tests may be requested if necessary.

Ask this question on WhatsApp
14Can I apply from outside Istanbul?

The current reports and test results of patients living outside Istanbul can be reviewed for a preliminary assessment. Depending on the patient's condition, information is provided about visiting the clinic or a suitable follow-up method.
